Business Experiences
I have started the business since the year 2000. There has been some experiences I got but basically I need reliable partners to develop this business.
I have tried to promote and confince coffee lovers through the internet about my product and in general they are very interested and finally make an order. Coffee lovers ordering from us not only come from Indonesia but also from foreign countries like Korea, Japan, Russia, Netherlands, America, Hongkong, Taiwan, Australia and some European countries. However, some European countries implement such a strict regulation regarding with imported goods to their countries, in this case green beans which are not allowed. So we cannot fulfill order of green beans to them.
As a small scale entrepreneur I have had some experiences to share. Mr. Kim a Korean businessman once visited me and he proposed a mutual cooperation to me as investor for business development. Then we mention our agreement in a kind of legal paper. I assumed that by signing the agreement then we have made trustmanship so I let him bring all of our product of 50 kg Kopi Luwak beans to be promoted in an exhibition as he said and only pay us the 25 kg. After that moment he disappeared and I cannot contact him until now.
The other experience is businessmen from Jakarta Anton and Agung. Those two men proposed a business cooperation with us. The agreement stated that both parties agreed to establish business cooperation; I am a producer and they are seller. All are stated in written contract paper. They asked me to provide Kopi Luwak beans, videos and photos of my products including the civet for the purpose of promotion media. At that time they only buy Kopi Luwak from me 3 kgs. But after they got everything they were found breaking the agreement stated in the contract. Even they never buy Kopi Luwak from me anymore since then, they keep using our promotion media (videos and photos). Since 2005 I do not have business relationship with them anymore.
Based on the above stories, I really need reliable and faithful business partners.
